Salesforce Product Owner, Worksite Strategy and Planning

Full-Time, (Hybrid) Boston/Springfield

The Opportunity

As the Worksite Salesforce Product Owner you will lead strategic analysis for best use of Salesforce in our business and devise procedures to solve complex problems considering business and/or system requirements and limitations. You will work closely with Worksite leadership and Salesforce Development Teams to execute strategic plans.

The Team

The MassMutual Worksite business has achieved success in recent years distributing our Voluntary and Executive Group products through multi-channel distribution relationships. The Strategy and Planning Team is the heartbeat of the Worksite Channel. We drive KPI and Executive reporting, Salesforce strategy and execution, administrative support, financial planning and deployment support to bring accountability to the organization. We understand and communicate the health of the business to Sr. Leadership as well as our front-line teams. We are looking to expand on our small organization with someone who shares our passion of working collaboratively and focusing on our customer.

The Impact:

Participate in technical studies and evaluations of business requirements and technological alternatives and recommends appropriate systems solutions. Provide direction and guidance to other programmers. Responsible for the evaluation and implementation of complex applications with complex subsystems that may affect the entire system or multiple systems applications. Advise on methods to improve scalability. Prepare communications, documentation and conducts classes on new system alternatives. Consult and provide guidance to client and IT personnel. Receive general supervision and is competent to work at the highest technical level of systems consulting while working on own most of the time.

Salesforce PO Systems Consultant Key Responsibilities
  • Deep experience and understanding of Salesforce and thought leader on how to use capabilities to improve Worksite experience and reporting
  • Communicate and influence leadership team on long-term strategy for Salesforce within Worksite
  • Assess current capabilities of Salesforce against current and future needs for the tool
  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements for development team
  • Lead team on execution of improvement opportunities.
  • Manage overall roadmap for CRM which in WS is workflow tool from pre-sales through plan implementation and set up
  • Works with WS users to analyze the new updates and enhancements, and manage execution through intake, requirements and implementation with Technology
  • Works with teams, subject matter experts and other stakeholders to perform business analysis and conduct customer research to support the program vision, roadmap and content presentations
  • Collaborate with business partners to proactively drive utilization of tools and help create improved processes
  • Analyzes the feasibility of, and develops requirements to support the new business functionality
  • Work within AGILE framework and change management practices to incorporate new ideas into our vision or process
  • Manage reporting utilization by field and management
  • Refine the backlog by adding detail, estimates and order to development items. Properly communicate the business needs as it relates to actual scenarios.
  • Establish and manage all strategic and tactical management reporting for the Salesforce effort within Worksite
  • Articulate (verbally or in writing) the business vision, direction, priority and/or needs for the CRM infrastructure
  • Be the conduit between the business and the Scrum team
  • Responsible for working within budget and prioritizing the high value projects and BAU for CRM


The Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience with Salesforce or other enterprise CRM platform
  • 2+ years of experience working in an AGILE environment presenting ideas and business information to various levels of leadership, including non-technical audiences

  • Experience working within financial services organizations in roles supporting internal business functions as well as advisors, sponsors and consumers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present complex information clearly and appropriately which may contain sensitive information
  • Extremely organized, detail-oriented individual who is capable of self-managing and multi-tasking in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence outcomes
  • Strategic mindset and ability to create a vision, strategy and execution roadmap
  • Demonstrated agility and accountability to adapt and execute on changing business priorities
  • Endlessly curious in how emerging trends can translate into excellent customer experiences

Salary Range:
$99,800.00-$131,000.00
