Job Role & Summary

Distinguishing Features

The overall responsibility of this position is to coordinate activities related to ESSA-funded program compliance requirements. The Director will facilitate the development of the ESSA Consolidated Application, support implementation of required compliance activities as related to all ESSA-funded programs, and conduct internal program monitoring visits and desk audits. Additionally, this position will co-facilitate required stakeholder engagement activities as related to all ESSA-funded programs, and coordinate external compliance-based activities such as the coordination of external program monitoring visits or audits.

What You Will Do

Typical Work Activities

  • Act as liaison between school leaders, program directors and Central Office departments to facilitate needs assessments and stakeholder engagement sessions as related to ESSA-funded programming
  • Maintain superior communications with Central Office departments, schools, community partners and vendors
  • Provide support for implementing and maintaining internal controls to meet compliance requirements as related to mandates tied to ESSA-funded programs
  • Conduct internal program monitoring visits and desk audits as related to ESSA-funded program compliance requirements
  • Monitor and evaluate ESSA-funded program progress
  • Utilize project management strategies to support ESSA-funded program projects as needed, aligned to the RCSD's priorities, District Comprehensive Improvement Plan (DCIP) and school-level improvement plans

Other performance duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Grants and Program Accountability

What We Need From You

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • Five (5) years of appropriate teaching and/or administrative experience
  • NYS certification for School District Leader or School District Administrator
  • Diplomacy and interpersonal skills
  • Superior written and oral communications
  • Program and project planning, development and management
  • Negotiation abilities
  • Technology proficiency
  • Knowledge of RCSD Central Office Departments, processes and procedures
  • Familiarity with RCSD Board of Education policy
  • Familiarity with ESSA-funded programs
  • Knowledge of RCSD Central Office Departments, processes and procedures
  • Familiarity with RCSD Board of Education policy
