The SAP Development IV role is responsible for day-to-day care and support of mission-critical SAP financials and supply chain applications. The position requires a strong well-rounded SAP technical leader to quickly learn the overall business and technology processes supported by the team while also eager to learn and grow skills within the SAP landscape consisting of SAP S/4 and BTP (Business Technology Platform). Position requires hands-on development expertise along with solid integration and security knowledge.
Essential Responsibilities:
Develop custom ABAP reports, interfaces, and enhancements to meet business requirements
Design, develop, and implement SAP ABAP solutions within the SAP S4HANA environment, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices
Optimize ABAP code for performance and maintainability
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to ABAP development and integrations
Development with CDS views, OData, Restful ABAP, user exits, SAPscript, etc.
Extensive experience in middleware technologies including SAP PI/PO, SAP CPI, Integration Suite, IDOCs, Web Services, REST, and ODATA
Good understanding of Fiori Elements Concepts/Custom fields/ Standard Fiori app Extensions
Extensive experience in debugging, performance tuning, Runtime Analysis and System monitoring
Experience with SAP S/4 and an understanding of the current SAP ecosystem
Build and extend Fiori applications
Build and support integrations using CPI (SAP Integration Services)
Knowledge and understanding of SAP financial and supply chain development objects
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into effective technical solutions
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members, sharing best practices and knowledge
Code review, mentoring junior developers, and providing technical guidance to the team
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
6+ years hands on SAP functional and technical experience
Prior experience with SAP ECC to S/4 migrations including system migration, cutover planning, and data conversions is highly desirable
Good Understanding of ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (BTP-RAP) concepts & clean core strategy
Having good functional knowledge in SAP FI/CO, GL, SCM, WM modules will be an additional advantage
Dedicated, self-directed, motivated, proactive, and inquisitive
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and documentation skills
