Critical Skills: Experience leading data integration and consumption projects to meet business needs Experience designing end to end data solutions based on industry standards and best practices Ability to think strategically and relate architectural recommendations to business needs Experience assessing the performance of data solutions, how to diagnose performance problems, and tools used to monitor and tune performance Hand on experience with SAS (statistical analysis system) and Apache Hadoop Experience with other technologies such as Apache NiFi, Apache Spark, PySpark, Hands on leader with a strong drive for execution Loves data and is people oriented, creative / innovative, and flexible Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to drive & manage projects from conceptual definition through to execution/launch Activities: " Review business requirements and identify innovative solutions to meet business needs " Translate business requirements to technical requirements " Propose options for end to end solution, articulating the advantages and disadvantages of each " Develop end to end solution for data integration and consumption needs " Collaborate with end users, development staff, and business analysts to ensure that prospective data architecture plans maximize the value of data " Provide technical guidance for the project team " Ensure solution design meets data management standards and aligns with future state goals " Read technical white papers to gain insight in how to best implement end to end solution " Hands-on project and development work, as demanded by the project " Coordinate with technical and infrastructure leads to prepare environments " Coordinate with upstream and downstream stakeholders to identify and manage dependencies " Collaborate with team to identify and mitigate risks, issues, impediments Deliverables: " Technical requirements for project " End to end solution design
