XMSTART is looking to add an experience and full-time Satellite Space Vehicle Engineer to our team in Chantilly, VA. This position is 100% onsite.

The Satellite Space Vehicle Engineer will support a very dynamic and innovative space program. In this position, you will gain experience with acquiring and deploying the next-generation of space assets including first of a kind satellite constellations with ground-breaking technology. This position will support space vehicle engineering, assembly, integration, and test activities for all of the government program office's major satellite programs. Requirements

Responsibilities:
  • Support a Government program office in a space vehicle engineering capacity for planning, execution, monitoring, and oversight of systems acquisitions.
  • Assisting the Government in monitoring Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T) of multiple satellites at contractor facilities.
  • Provide support to Government customer by evaluating space vehicle designs, overseeing space vehicle development efforts, and assessing space vehicle requirements compliance through verification activities.
  • Develop documents and briefings to communicate work or study status, briefs Government and industry as required.
  • Review Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables to ensure content, accuracy, and sufficiency to meet program
  • requirements and objectives.
  • Participate in program reviews and technical interchange meetings between developers and COTR.


Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Experience with how NRO or space satellite systems are acquired.
  • The job requires familiarity with NRO organization, processes, and satellite systems.
  • Experience with how space systems are designed, specified, developed, manufactured, and tested.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, team building and problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to be effective in a government/contractor team environment.


Education:
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering or Business and relevant space vehicle or satellite AI&T experience.


Security Clearance Requirements:
  • Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph required.
