Job Description:
- Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for inpatients and outpatients, including assessments, nutrition care planning, counseling, and education.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in nutrition, overseeing MNT for complex and high-risk patients.
- Deliver in-service education and training programs to nursing staff, medical staff, students, healthcare personnel, and the general public as needed.
- Modify patient profiles based on nutritional needs, food intolerances, and preferences.
- Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences to update patient care plans.
- Conduct regular food service department quality assurance checks.
- Offer nutrition-related presentations and information to the community.
- Provide in-service education for Food Service personnel.
- Prepare reports and documents for maintaining accreditation with regulatory agencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
