POSITION: School Psychologist
SALARY: $47.18 - $63.76, per hour DOE
REPORTS TO: Special Education Director
LOCATION: PSIS,OMAK, WA
Basic Functions: This is a Non-Exempt position.The School Psychologist, under the Supervision of the Special Education Director, functions as a member of the multi-disciplinary team to determine the student's eligibility for special services, appropriate programming, and on-going progress.

Note: Pursuant to Tribal Policy, if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to pre-employment drug testing. In addition, this position is subject to reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug testing.

If required of this position, you must possess and maintain avalid Washington State driver's license and be eligible for the Tribes' Vehicle Insurance. In addition, this position may be subject to pre-employment background clearances. If applicable, these clearances must be maintained throughout employment.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Training:
- Requiresa Masters in Psychology and 5 years of successful experience working in school psychology, counseling, or related field.
- May require a valid driver's license. Must currently hold or qualify for Washington ESA school psychologist certificate.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- The position requires demonstrated knowledge of the current literature, issues technical skills of the field of school psychology and counseling in schools.
- Requires working knowledge of Washington state and federal laws relating to students with disabilities.
- Requires knowledge and/or experience in serving students in rural or remote districts and migrant/bilingual programs.
- Requires demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills, both orally and in writing.
- Requires demonstrated organizational skills and commitment to follow through on tasks.
- Requires demonstrated ability to produce high quality and easily understood written reports, letters and other professional correspondence.
- Requires demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
- Requires ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Requires demonstrated ability to adjust to and use new approaches in performance of his/her duties.
- The position incumbent must be able to function indoors in an office environment engaged in work of primarily a sedentary nature.
- Requires ambulatory ability to sit for extended periods of time, to utilize microcomputers and peripheral equipment, and to move about various campus locations.
- Requires the ability to use near vision to read printed materials.
- Requires auditory ability to carry on conversations in person and over the phone.
- Requires the ability to retrieve work materials from overhead, waist, and ground level files.
- Requires sustained repetitive motions and manual and finger dexterity to write, use a pointing device, keyboard at an acceptable, operate microcomputer, and operate other office equipment
