In this role, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments following the California Department of Education and Federal guidelines to identify student needs.
- Certify students' eligibility for special education services and programs tailored to their unique physical, mental, and emotional needs.
- Prepare thorough, legally sound reports with diagnoses and recommendations, helping pave the way for student success.
- Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and parents, providing expert guidance on special education processes, mental health, learning challenges, and student behavior.
- Offer consultative support to multidisciplinary teams, ensuring a holistic approach to every student's growth.
- Participate in IEP meetings, ensuring compliance with timelines and due process.
- Provide counseling services to students to support their emotional and academic well-being.
What You Bring:
- Active California Clinical Psychologist or School Psychologist License (CA Board of Psychology)
- Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential (issued by CA CTC)
- 2+ years of school-based experience supporting students with Autism and related disabilities.
- Experience training staff and parents and providing consultative services.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for working collaboratively with others.
