This is a full-time 1.0 FTE teaching position within the Science Department. The successful candidate can teach multiple science classes and, ideally, has a background in both Biology and Chemistry. The specific teaching assignment is still to be determined based on the master schedule and the candidate's background. This will include Biology and AP Biology OR General Chemistry and Biology. Familiarity with teaching high school science on a block schedule is beneficial but not required. In your cover letter, please describe how you will support the mission of Archbishop Murphy High School.

- B.A. (or higher) in science or a related field, with a specific background in biology and chemistry.
- A current Washington State Teaching Certificate with an endorsement (or the ability to obtain an endorsement) in Science Education is strongly preferred.

- All full-time faculty also help supervise Community Period, a non-academic class similar to a homeroom or advisory group.
- Must enjoy working with high school students and be committed to helping students learn.
