JOB SUMMARY
To teach a combination of science classes offered in Grades 9-12 for the 2025-26 school
year.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in the specific content area (ex. Physics, Biology, Human
Anatomy)
WA State Teaching Certificate or the ability to obtain one
Master's degree preferred
Familiarity with educational technology
Recent classroom experience, preferably in a high school setting
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The ideal candidate will possess the skills and abilities to:
Work with students from a variety of cultural backgrounds and learning abilities
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
Effectively utilize educational technology to enhance the learning of students
Use data to inform instructional practices
Work collaboratively within the department on curriculum and assessments
Be flexible and resourceful
Be organized and an effective communicator with all members of the school
community
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges,
market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and2
certifications. Salary is dependent upon experience, certification, and education
according to Kennedy Catholic's faculty compensation schedule. For the 2025-2026
school year, a teacher's salary ranges between $55,962 and $106,217.
A comprehensive package of benefits is offered, including two medical plan options,
dental, vision, life, and accidental death and disability, long-term disability, pension,
403(b), HSA, FSA, and generous sick leave, vacation, and holidays.
In-building child/dependent tuition support.
Opportunities to participate/assist with a wide array of co-curricular programs,
including athletics, arts, campus ministry, and other clubs and activities for
additional modest stipends.
For teachers in the first five years of their careers, we offer the opportunity to apply
for affordable, innovative housing options, based on availability.
