Description:
We're seeking a Scientific Software Engineer in Hit Discovery to join us in our mission to improve human health and quality of life through the development, distribution, and application of advanced computational methods.
Our Hit Discovery group builds computational workflows that combine state-of-the-art machine learning with chemical physics to efficiently evaluate billions of potential drug molecules on the cloud. As a member of our team, you'll collaborate with research scientists to improve the accuracy and applicability of these methods and turn them into robust, scalable software products.

Estimated base salary range: $120,000 - $180,000. Actual compensation package is dependent on a number of factors, including, for example, experience, education, degrees held, market data, and business needs. Who will love this job:
- A proficient Python/C++ programmer who is enthusiastic about clean, well-tested code
- A fast learner who thrives with large codebases and datasets
- A skilled developer who feels at home in UNIX/Linux environments (familiarity with Windows is a plus)
- An excellent verbal and written communicator who enjoys working independently and as part of a team
What you'll do:
- Work on high-level workflow development in Python while maintaining and improving high-performance backends (mostly C++)
- Collaborate with in-house research scientists who use our computational methods for high-impact drug discovery projects
What you should have:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in chemistry, physics, computer science, or a related field, with at least one semester of organic chemistry
- At least two years of software development experience (please let us know about your open-source contributions!)
