Responsibilities
  • Serve as scientific support liaison for technical projects of diverse scope and complexity, coordinating with local IT support, ITB Engineering, external vendors and scientific users to achieve project success.
  • Collaborate with customers and other related teams to document, analyze, evaluate and author scientific systems architecture, software flowcharts, scripts, and process documentation. Propose and implement updates and improvements.
  • Coordinate with functional teams (operations, engineering, PMO, and information security) for scientific user management, endpoint management, problem and issue resolution.
  • Configure specialized IT devices for secure operation, including installation of security software, software updates, and other configurations as required.
  • Knowledge manager for the Scientific and Desktop Support team. Develop and refine knowledge articles, SOPs, service mappings, and other related documentation for use by both IT members and customers. Advise knowledge article contributors on best practices to ensure content is concise, relevant and timely.
  • Author and maintain project-to-operations plans and artifacts for scientific systems.
  • Advise and mentor/coach scientific and desktop technicians (and other IT teams as needed) to troubleshoot complex issues to provide exemplary support.
  • Leverage an ITSM ticket system to receive and track requests, issues, risks, and project artifacts.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree along with at least five (5) years of relevant work experience in IT customer support in a scientific and/or medical environment
  • Experience configuration and supporting hardware and software for Mac, Linux, and Windows OS. Experience supporting Virtual Machines.
  • Experience with endpoint management systems (preferred: JAMF, SCCM, Ivanti, BigFix, Absolute)
  • Experience using a ticketing system (preferred: ServiceNow)
  • Experience setting up and maintaining servers. Cloud experience is a plus.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills. Experience with VIP support is a MUST.

It is required that the candidate hold (or will be certified within 3 months of hire), two or more of the following certifications:
  • Foundation Certificate in ITService Management (ITIL) v3 or higher
  • MTA: Microsoft Technology Associate
  • MCSA: Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate
  • MSCE: Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert
  • Apple Certified Associate - Mac Integration Basics (current or current -1 version)
  • Apple Certified Support Professional (current or current -1 version)
  • CompTIA A+ Certified Professional
  • CompTIA Network+ Certified Professional
  • CompTIA Linux+ Certified Professional
  • CompTIA Security+ Certified Professional
  • Jamf Certified Tech
  • Jamf Certified Expert
  • PMI: Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
  • PMI: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)


Basic Compensation: $95,000 - $105,000 yearly salary

The salary offered within this range will be based on the selected candidates' skills, experience, education, market data, and internal parity. DLH may offer other rewards that may include performance incentives and program-specific awards. An applicant's salary history will not be used to determine compensation.
