Description
The Role: BigHat Biosciences is seeking an exceptional, self-motivated, lab-based individual to support BigHat's pipeline of novel therapeutic antibody programs. Responsibilities will include identification, validation, and experimental prosecution of high-value therapeutic targets over a range of indications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute in vitro/ex vivo cellular assays utilizing a variety of experimental methods (e.g., flow cytometry, live cell imaging, ELISA, etc.) to support therapeutic programs within BigHat's drug discovery pipeline
- Analyze in vitro and in vivo experimental data, interpret results, and generate actionable insights to drive project decision-making
- Identify and evaluate new therapeutic opportunities; design proof of concept experiments to de-risk novel targets
- Present data packages to stakeholders including internal team members, BigHat leadership, and external advisors.
- Growth opportunities include directly managing internal therapeutic programs, from early discovery to declaration of clinical candidates.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- PhD in Biology or similar field, or MS with 3+ years of relevant industry experience
- Stellar track record at top-tier institutions or companies
- Strong scientific background with demonstrated technical mastery in a range of experimental biology approaches
- Nice-to-Have: Experience in oncology, immunology, inflammatory or fibrotic diseases
- Strong track record for implementing new processes and methodologies
- Organized and detail oriented: capable of keeping a detailed record of all experiments using BigHat's documentation tools
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with members of a multidisciplinary team
