We're seeking a Structural Biologist to help test novel molecules and validate computed protein structures for a variety of targets. The candidate will collaborate closely with AI researchers, computational chemists and cell biologists.

Topos Bio leverages AI-driven molecular simulations to model cellular machinery and design therapeutics for complex diseases. Our initial focus is on neurodegenerative diseases, where we aim to target previously "undruggable" proteins using cutting-edge structural biology, biophysics, and computational modeling.

Challenges you'll tackle
- Experimentally validate AI generated or computed protein structures.
- Confirm in silico docking predictions using in vitro binding assays.
- Collaborate with computational and medicinal chemists to generate and optimize novel therapeutic compounds.
- Work with AI researchers to incorporate the latest computational breakthroughs and generate the most accurate predicted structures.
- Test the best candidate molecules in cell based assays, either on your own or in collaboration with cell biologists.

What we're looking for
- PhD in structural biology, biophysics, biochemistry or related field.
- Experience with biophysical characterization methods such as UV-CD, SPR, DSF, MS, etc.
- Experience using structural biology knowledge to support drug discovery efforts.
- Experience with recombinant protein expression and purification.
- Knowledge of computational structure determination, modeling and design packages such as AlphaFold, Rosetta, Schrodinger, MOE.
- Proficiency in mammalian cell culture.
Nice to have
- Expertise with cell based assays such as luciferase reporters, fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry.
- Proficiency in Python or other similar programming languages.
- Experience with rational drug design.
