EMIT Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced and highly skilled SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) Systems Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of SCR exhaust systems tailored for industrial engines. The ideal candidate will have extensive technical expertise in SCR technology, exhaust after-treatment systems, and emissions control, combined with strong leadership and collaboration skills. This role will involve close interaction with internal teams and external partners, guiding product development from concept to execution while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and cost-effectiveness.

Key Accountabilities:

Collaboration with Stakeholders:
  • Work closely with customers, sales teams, and application engineers to understand specific performance and application requirements and engineer customized solutions accordingly.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for external suppliers and partners, ensuring the seamless integration of components into the SCR systems.

Mentorship and Team Development:
  • Guide and mentor peers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning within the design team.
  • Provide leadership in problem-solving, troubleshooting, and making technical decisions that impact design and system performance.

Product Development and Design Leadership:
  • Lead the end-to-end design and development of Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) exhaust system product lines for industrial engines.
  • Create innovative designs that meet performance, efficiency, and regulatory requirements while optimizing for manufacturability and cost.

Technical Expertise in SCR Systems:
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of SCR technology, exhaust after-treatment systems, and emissions control to design effective, compliant solutions.
  • Evaluate materials, catalysts, and system configurations to ensure systems meet environmental regulations (e.g., EPA, Euro VI).

Engineering Analysis and Validation:
  • Conduct simulations and analyses, such as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA), to optimize system performance and reliability.
  • Oversee prototype testing and validation to ensure product reliability, durability, and efficiency in real-world operating conditions.

Project Management and Coordination:
  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outputs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, supply chain, and quality assurance, to align design objectives with overall project goals.

Documentation and Reporting:
  • Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including design specifications, technical drawings, and test reports.
  • Present findings, progress updates, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with project goals.

Compliance and Standards:
  • Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety protocols, and global emissions regulations.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and emerging technologies to maintain product competitiveness and compliance.

Cost and Performance Optimization:
  • Balance performance objectives with cost considerations to deliver competitive, high-quality SCR systems.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manufacturing complexity and improve production efficiency without compromising design integrity.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
  • Drive innovation in SCR system design by exploring new materials, technologies, and methodologies to enhance system efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead initiatives to improve the performance and lifecycle of existing product lines, ensuring they remain competitive in the market.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in the design and development of SCR or exhaust after-treatment systems, preferably for industrial engines.
  • Strong expertise in SCR technology, emissions control, and environmental compliance (e.g., EPA, Euro VI).
  • Experience with engineering simulations and analysis tools (e.g., CFD, FEA).
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience in mentoring and guiding teams.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to emissions and exhaust systems.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SCR systems for industrial engines or heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Knowledge of advanced manufacturing processes and cost optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and product lifecycle management tools.
