Overview:
Seeking for an experienced Chief of Pulmonary Medicine to lead the department, overseeing both clinical and operational activities. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in department leadership, program development, strategic planning, change management, and clinical leadership. This role is essential in advancing the Pulmonary department to provide high-quality care to our patient population.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct the clinical and operational activities of the Pulmonary Medicine department, including physician staffing, nurse practitioners, and RNs.
  • Oversee daily clinical operations and ensure effective physician coverage.
  • Develop and implement the vision and strategic direction for the department.
  • Lead and resolve operational issues, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
  • Design and implement departmental policies.
  • Actively participate as a practicing physician.
  • Provide education and training to clinical staff.
  • Mentor and guide clinical staff, fostering professional development.
  • Take an active role in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Lead recruitment efforts for clinical staff, including physicians and nurse practitioners.
  • Manage expectations, duties, and activities of clinical staff members.

Qualifications:
  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified in Pediatrics
  • Graduate from an ACGME Pediatric Pulmonary Fellowship
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a pediatric outpatient practice
  • At least 3 years of experience in practice leadership and change management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a clinical team effectively.
