RLB North America has a clear strategic plan to target market share growth in key sectors. This role is responsible for bringing together expertise from across North America to collaborate and deliver upon this through the targeting of client relationships in the specific region. The responsibility of the Sector Lead is to build the significant growth in their market delivering the business objectives.
The Sector Lead will create a strategic approach to business development to drive and grow the sector business in North America. They will be focusing on continuously improving knowledge, client understanding and expertise to drive sales and profitability by creating a best-in-class delivery approach.

Essential Functions
- Create a sales pipeline and targeted approach to develop business growth related to data centers.
- Update and maintain a CRM process.
- Collaborate with other Sector Leads to develop a sales strategy within existing customer organizations.
- Collate and communicate positive customer feedback.
- Utilize existing forums to develop case study material and collateral to support further growth.
- Build internal and external relationships and develop new business opportunities.
- Lead end-to-end account delivery across multiple projects in multiple regions to deliver service excellence to our client.
- Understand the outcomes required of the sector client organizations and align our service offerings to deliver upon this.
- Continuously improves the service delivery process, knowledge, and skills to support the growth and profit of the organization.
- Discuss service results and seek new opportunities to grow / improve RLB's offer.
- Create an environment for best-in-class service delivery.
- Promote cooperation between regions and service streams.
- Participate in the development of Business Plan and strategy.
- Prepare proposals and fee bids and make presentations.
- Implement agreed strategy and plan across the Region and develop tactical plan.
- Routine reporting to the RLB Europe and North America management team on performance, variance analysis and forecast, including any remedial action plans.
- Contributes to and understands the clients desired project outcomes, identifies opportunities to add value to accomplish the desired outcomes.
- Adds to team effort by accomplishing other duties as assigned.
People
- Provide training and expertise to drive knowledge of services, innovations, and sales.
- Recruitment and career development of staff.
- Act as mentor to more junior staff by helping to develop future talent across business.
- Manage the Regional business development programs.
- Coordinate Regional business development activities to promote the RLB brand.
- Undertake development initiatives as agreed to assist in the achievement of both personal and business objectives.
- Overall responsibility for team morale and welfare.
- Resource planning - establish and maintaining adequate resources to deliver customer satisfaction profitably.

The Sector Lead will demonstrate a positive proactive approach to the role and will be committed to delivering customer service excellence.
- Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required: 4-year college degree in quantity surveying, construction management, architecture, or engineering science.
- Minimum Experience required: 5-10 years relevant experience of management of staff including project professionals and/or technicians, managing major projects including development of project scope, goals, work plans, timeliness, and implantation strategies, developing measurement processes/methods for assessing progress toward goals and project outcomes. Prior experience with developing and monitoring contracts required.
- Skills Required: Expert in quantity surveying, cost management, or project management, including planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of large, complex projects. Good communication skills required.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Indoor office environment. May require work on site location when necessary.
- Equipment used includes: computers and standard office machines.
- Essential physical tasks include: the ability to work on a computer and the ability to answer and speak on a telephone.
- As part of your role there is an expectation of travel to support project, service & regional growth.
