ROLE SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Security & Infrastructure Support Engineer to support both our Sr. Network Engineer and Sr. Security Engineer. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation and security of our corporate and retail infrastructure. You will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting our network systems while implementing security best practices to safeguard our data and systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Security Operations Support:
    • Collaborate with the Sr. Security Engineer to implement security controls and frameworks across network systems.
    • Monitor security alerts and incidents, respond to threats, and assist in resolving security breaches.
    • Support vulnerability assessments, security audits, and penetration tests.
    • Maintain and manage security tools, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and SIEM systems
    • Stay informed on emerging security threats and assist with the implementation of preventive measures.
  • Network Operations Support:
    • Work closely with the Sr. Network Engineer to manage and maintain the network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.
    • Assist in the design, implementation, and optimization of LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
    • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal network performance and uptime
  • Collaboration and Troubleshooting
    • Serve as a point of contact between network and security teams, ensuring cohesive operations and prompt issue resolution.
    • Provide second level support for network and security-related issues, ensuring swift response to incidents.
    • Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to resolve issues impacting network performance or security.
  • Documentation and Compliance:
    • Assist in creating and maintaining network and security documentation, including network diagrams, standard operating procedures, and security policies.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards, security frameworks, and regulatory requirements (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR).
    • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing for network and security services.


WHAT YOU BRING:
  • Completion of a diploma in Computer Science, or a related discipline - or a combination of education, training, and experience deemed equivalent.
  • 5 years of related work experience with a background in Cloud, and on Prem infrastructure,
  • Experience analyzing solution needs and determining resources required to meet objectives enterprise business solutions
  • Experience with working with diverse, distributed teams and managed services provider
  • Problem solving, interpersonal, and oral/written/presentation skills to lead the analysis, design, and development of enterprise business solutions across multiple platforms
  • 2+ Years experience with NIST Framework or equivalent
  • Microsoft 365/Defender experience required
  • Oracle Public Cloud Experience an Asset
  • Microsoft Azure experience an Asset
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco equipment required
  • Experience with Service Now
  • Experience working within a Sarbanes Oxley environment
  • Cisco CCNA/CCNP
  • ITIL Foundations, an asset
  • Industry specific certifications (Vmware, Citrix, Microsoft), an asset
  • Cisco CCNA/CCNP

COMPENSATION: Budgeted Range - $88,146.00 -$114,072.00 the budgeted range takes into account several factors and qualifications that are considered in making compensation decisions including experience, education, training, licenses, certifications, and other business and organizational requirements. Base pay is only one component of the total rewards offering at Arterra.
