Security Analyst

The information security analyst will serve as a subject matter expert in the areas of technical writing, documentation, and communication through awareness training and other security program activities. The identified candidate will influence others by developing and promoting policies, standards, practices, and instructional materials to educate technical and non-technical personnel on topics relating to information security. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must possess the business acumen to make sound decisions, have strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships, and the ability to clearly articulate security insights across the organization.

Required skills:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or equivalent 5 to 7 plus years of work experience as an information security, risk management, governance, audit and/or compliance practitioner
• Demonstrated experience in writing policies, standards, procedures, and end-user training documents that reflects business needs tempered by known security risks
• Displayed a practical knowledge of different message distribution techniques for the promotion and education of current policies, standards, work flows, and training courses to various audiences
• Exceptional technical-writing, oral communication, presentation, and documentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to understand highly technical or complex topics while adept with translating and communicating in oral and written form that is comprehensible to a wide audience
• Hands-on experience with Sharepoint, web development, and/or social media applications preferred
• CISSP, CISA, CRISC, or similar industry certification preferred
• Must provide authored writing samples of information security policies, standards, or related documents
