Description:
Work Schedule - HYBRID (2 days onsite at Ft. Belvoir and 3 days of telework/week) Seeking a Security Specialist to support our government customer at Ft. Belvoir, VA. We are seeking a highly motivated and professional to support the Army. At this time, the position will be located on-site two days a week and telework three days a week. Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides the highest level of technical expertise related to a DoD clients security and program protection operations team
Supports the client by providing security expertise and handson experience within one or more security disciplines, including personnel, physical, antiterrorism (AT), industrial, operations security, classification management, information security, and foreign disclosure.
Applies analytical principles and practices, research, and technical support in the development and production of security products and activities. Analyzes and implements organizational security policies and procedures that ensure the physical safety of sensitive information and facilities, and assists with the oversight and maintenance of the organizations daily physical security operations.
Provides support in clearance processing, COMSEC program , visit certifications, document control and security briefings, in accordance with NISPOM, ICDs and other applicable government security directives, as appropriate.
Leverages specializedrelated knowledge to work independently or concurrently in supporting teams to directly solve complex issues.
Implements strategic thinking to address issues, and plans for major operational defense programs. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Bachelors Degree
15 Years of experience Relevant security experience, including experience working with DD254s and working knowledge of security related programs, i.e., DISS/NBIS, NISS, eQip, etc.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Strong working knowledge of the management of classified Information systems and DoD Closed areas.
Experience with facilitating an Insider Threat Team in accordance with NISPOM guidance.
Proven ability to exercise tact and discretion in handling sensitive information
Experience managing Intrusion Detection and Access Control Systems in accordance with DoD, NISPOM and UL standards.
Strong understanding of identifying, delivering, and managing Security Education and Training in accordance with DoD, Specific Customer and NISPOM guidance and requirements.
Working knowledge of the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA)
In-depth knowledge of NISPOM
Working knowledge of security related programs, i.e., DISS/NBIS, NISS, eQip, etc.
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products
Proven ability to exercise tact and discretion in handling sensitive information
Experience managing Intrusion Detection and Access Control Systems in accordance with DoD, NISPOM and UL standards. REQUIRED CLEARANCE Must have an Active Secret Clearance EOE M/F/Disability/Vet
