Duties * You will assist with the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security program including physical security, personnel security, and industrial security. * You will assist with directing and controlling security programs, to include general facilities protection and use of electronic access control. * You will assist with directing and controlling security programs to include intrusion alarms and personnel clearance processing. * You will ensure proper physical safeguards for the protection and storage of classified materials and equipment. * You will maintain knowledge of all applicable directives, regulations, manuals, and guidelines to adequately discharge duties and responsibilities. * You will investigate security infractions and make recommendations for corrective actions. * You will conduct building surveys and sweeps to ensure compliance with DoD, DoN and local applicable security regulations. * You will provide guidance in ensuring that all contractor personnel are appropriately assigned as it relates to need-to-know and authorization access. You will be subject to random testing. * This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. * This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. Qualifications To qualify for a GS-11 position your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: * Experience operating a security program while ensuring compliance with personnel security standards and programs and maintaining an electronic investigation background program. * Experience implementing a wide range of security concepts, principles, and practices to independently review, analyze, and resolve difficult security problems. * Experience adhering to DoD/DoN requirements as they relate to Clearance Exception Packages to assist in making final clearance determinations. * Experience utilizing Electronic Questionnaire Investigation Program Direct (EQIP), Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS), Electronic Fingerprinting and Central Adjudication Tracking Systems (CATS). * Experience planning multi-layered security systems using state of the art security equipment and devices in the implementation of protective measures and procedures. To qualify for a GS-09 position your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: * Experience operating a security program while ensuring compliance with personnel security standards and programs and maintaining an electronic investigation background program. * Experience implementing a wide range of security concepts, principles, and practices to independently review, analyze, and resolve difficult security problems. * Experience adhering to DoD/DoN requirements as they relate to Clearance Exception Packages to assist in making final clearance determinations; * Experience utilizing electronic access control and badging systems to properly issue and program command access cards.
