Micron Idaho Semiconductor Manufacturing (Triton) LLC

Design and optimize chemical distribution systems for semiconductor manufacturing to support design, construction, and commissioning of major projects, including high-volume manufacturing facilities. Provide comprehensive chemical engineering support, including oversight of design, construction, and commissioning of chemical and slurry distribution systems. Leverage advanced computer skills to review design drawings, specifications, and equipment configurations. Ensure alignment with functionality, maintenance requirements, constructability, and P&ID accuracy. Validate engineering calculations and provide reviews for equipment submittals, shop drawings, and RFI responses. Utilize experience in system optimization to identify and implement opportunities for improving system performance, efficiency gains, and cost savings. Drive improvements in utility systems through variation reduction techniques such as Statistical Process Control (SPC). Provide engineering QA during construction, overseeing field operations, commissioning support, and tracking system performance using capacity analysis tools. Develop and publish area-specific procedures and technical documentation to ensure consistency and compliance across teams. Actively engage in reviewing and refining system capacity against actual facility data to optimize operations. Support semiconductor site facility changes, including plant, office, and equipment layouts, semiconductor tool installations, and R&D applications. Promote safe and efficient operations by participating in site walks, identifying areas for improvement in cleanliness, housekeeping, safety, and overall system efficiency. Prepare bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition. Complete engineering estimates for design costs related to equipment, installation, labor, and materials. Inspect construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules. Develop performance specifications to meet unique operating requirements while maintaining adherence to safety codes.

Employer will accept a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

Position requires:

1. Facilities and Semiconductor Chemical Systems, including Chemical Systems, Bulk Waste Chemical Systems, Hazardous and High Purity Chemical and Piping, and Chemical Distribution System;

2. Identifying opportunities for improvements in system design to improve performance, efficiency gains, reduce maintenance, and achieve cost savings;

3. Driving improvement in the quality of company utilities through variation reduction (Statistical Process Control);

4. Scheduling and facilitating the execution of troubleshooting, testing, and analysis;

5. Reviewing and supporting capacity analysis for systems tracking against actual data from the facility;

6. Promoting and publishing area-specific procedures and documentations;

7. Benchmarking both outside and inside the company for process improvement and material qualification.
