Description : The Sr. Account Executive / Team Leader is responsible for managing client accounts. The position frequently supervises the client's Account Service Team, which may consist of one or more Customer Service Representatives, a Broker, and a group Administrative Assistant. Reports to Director or Managing Director. Manage and oversee client account needs; review new project contracts, identify insurance needs, supervise preparation of carrier submissions, review analysis of carrier proposals, make recommendations to clients, work with clients to bind coverage. Manage and oversee daily client support needs, including certificate issuance, review client's polices, forms, and binders, work with client in response to coverage and technical questions; oversee client billings. Liaise with Claims Directors in claim review, investigation and settlement process as needed. Prepare client renewal submissions, analyze carrier submissions, make recommendations to clients. Work with brokerage sales on RFP responses; participate in client presentations as needed, work with sales team with technical guidance on complex coverage questions. Lead the Client Account Team for an assigned client or group of clients, directing the work of Customer Service Representative(s), Broker(s) and/or a group Administrative Assistant. Assign and monitor work, prepare and deliver performance evaluations, identify training and growth opportunities for supervised staff; resolve conflicts as needed. The Account Executive has hiring, firing and promotion authority over Support Team staff. Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration or similar program; or a minimum of five year's commercial insurance experience with exposure to large accounts and loss sensitive programs; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. Broker's license required. CPCU, ARM or similar insurance designation desired. Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to align complex Client business needs with market availability. Proven written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite and common industry RMIS programs. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage high volume, deadline-driven workloads. Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and interpret contract and insurance documents and forms and make appropriate recommendations. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals at all levels, both internal and external.
