Overview

As a Senior Account Manager, Influencer and PR, your job is to partner with clients to relentlessly pursue innovative creative thinking, with a focus on identifying and tapping into new trends, executing programs, and developing client and agency relationships. An essential ingredient of your success is the ability to partner and collaborate with a number of internal and external stakeholders.

This role requires a passionate team leader with very strong creative, strategic thinking and organizational abilities. A creative and analytical thinker who can create cross-channel influencer and PR strategies for our clients.

In this position, you will be developing and managing influencer strategies, programs and teams coupled with a solid understanding of the constantly evolving PR landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing strategic influencer/PR plans to grow client presence and impact that map back to program KPIs and business goals
  • Building strategies and programs that may also include social/content, experiential/events, etc. at times
  • Acting as the trusted day-to-day lead for multiple client stakeholders
  • Finger on the pulse of the evolving influencer and PR landscapes, proactively spotting trends, insights, opportunities and risks
  • Developing and supporting PR and influencer communication deliverables including pitching publications and media outlets, working with contents creators, etc.
  • Drafting and editing effective communications materials including editorial pieces, briefing books, influencer workbooks, social content and copy, junior team member first drafts. Strong writing skills are required.
  • Representing the agency in Integrated Agency Teams (IATs); fostering strong relationships and influence within these groups
  • Contributing to a positive culture of collaboration, coaching, development and mentoring for junior team members
  • Seamlessly overseeing consumer influencer and/or PR programs in execution - managing workbacks, client deliverables, junior teams, vendors, agency IAT partners, project budgets and measurement/wrap reporting
  • Drawing on excellent existing relationships with influencers (and related vendor agencies) and Canadian media
  • Working in both influencer and traditional media platforms (ie, CreatorIQ, Traackr, Meltwater, Cision, etc.) for campaign development, monitoring and performance monitoring
  • Gathering insights and analytics for effective reporting strategies - putting the metrics that matter front and centre to measure and optimize campaign performance
  • Handling pivots and problem-solving to keep projects on track - delivering impact, protecting brand reputations and surpassing program goals
  • Participating in forecasting, team resourcing and project budget management for a specific set of client accounts; partnering with senior leaders to continue to develop finance and account management skills

Qualifications

  • 7-9 years of experience
  • Experience in an agency environment with a focus on media and influencer relations is ideal
  • Bachelor's & post-graduate degree in PR, Communications, Marketing/Advertising, Media Studies or a related field
  • Genuine curiousity and commitment to continuously learning about the influencer and PR landscape, with a view to staying at the forefront as the space evolves (eg, around emerging platforms and/or talent, existing platform changes, partnership regulation/disclosure, etc.)
  • Committed to collaboration and building strong relationships with coworkers, clients and partners
  • Experience in traditional PR and media relations programs
  • Ability to manage up and down with ease
  • Strong understanding of influencer processes end to end - research, vetting, selection, contract development and negotiation, briefing, content reviews, publishing, reporting
  • Strong relationships with influencers and/or influencer agencies
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership, presentation and communication skills; dynamic team player
  • Superior time management and organizational abilities
  • Strong proficiency in social platforms (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Snapchat, etc.); experience with social and digital paid media amplification (strategy development is a must; executional experience is an asset)
  • Refined understanding of community management and organic and paid social
  • Proactive self-starter, comfortable leading and managing programs in partnership with senior leaders
  • Strong interpersonal abilities to effectively manage all internal and external relationships, vendors and agency partners
  • Skilled at analyzing data, deriving insights and building creative output to meet client objectives; effective measurement frameworks for social influencer programs
  • Agility, speed and flexibility to manage workflow within a changing work environment
  • Calm under pressure
  • Inter-agency experience working with PR, creative, experiential and/or media buying companies to ensure all campaigns are fully integrated and agency relationships are nurtured
