Compensation: $85,000-$95,000

Summary: The Corporate Accountant is responsible for overseeing day-to-day and month-end accounting processes for the assigned state plan, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. Responsibilities include journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and audit support.

Job Description:
- Location Requirement: Candidates must reside in one of the three states: MO, KY, IL
- Time Zone Preference: Central Standard Time
- Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Vary throughout the month and include journal entries, research, reconciliation, problem-solving, and collaboration with other departments.
- Licensure Preference: CPA a plus. Degree in Accounting or other Business related curriculum
- Work Hours:
- 830am - 5pm - Monday through Friday
- Equipment Requirements: Laptop, keyboard, mouse, headset, dual monitors, and docking station - provided by company.

Essential Functions:
- Prepare and enter journal entries, including GAAP and statutory reporting entries.
- Fixed Assets and Cost Accounting.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure proper coding of cash receipts/transfers.
- Reconcile accounts to identify posting or coding errors.
- Conduct monthly P&L analysis and explain variances to budget or prior periods.
- Perform account analysis and propose required journal entries as needed.
- Support the annual audit process by preparing schedules requested by auditors.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Adherence to company policies and HIPAA compliance.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers, and customers.
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business.
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
- Experience with networked computerized multi-company accounting systems.
