We are currently looking to hire a Senior Accountant for our Accounting Services Department- the Business Solutions Group. Your principal duties will include maintaining accounting records for various clients and assisting with client month end closes. We offer the option of working remotely.

Responsibilities
- Prepares month end reporting packages, within required timelines, under an accruals basis
- Analyzes or interprets key financial data to identify trends and provide key client insight
- Prepares month end closes. Will include balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintains general ledger for numerous clients
- Performs accounts receivable transactions (i.e. posting sales invoices and remittances) as required
- Performs accounts payable functions (i.e. bill pay and bill entry) as required
- Prepare payroll for third party processing, if required
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 5 years' experience in either industry or public practice
- Proven and thorough understanding of double entry accounting. Demonstrated performance of accounting tasks (both processing of transactions and maintenance of accounting records)
- Demonstrated understanding of U.S GAAP, and possess a preliminary tax knowledge
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, ideally in accounting or a related field
- Ability to travel to client or other firm office locations, if necessary
- Strong computer skills including strong proficiency in excel. Knowledge of at least one accounting software program, such as QuickBooks online
- Prior experience with data analysis interpretation and data analysis techniques
- Ability to work with multiple clients and provide prescribed services, efficiently and within prescribed timeframes
- Self -starter; proven ability to identify issues and recommend solutions. Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of and/or experience with additional accounting software programs which can include, but not limited to; Zero, Intacct, NetSuite, Bill.com or Concur
- Bi-lingual in Spanish or second language an advantage
- Holds a current and valid CPA's license, or is working toward obtaining the license by taking and passing the applicable state CPA exam
- Either possesses a specialized accounting knowledge in either a particular industry or accounting area or has the ability and propensity to learn new accounting technical guidance and/or technology
