All About the Job

We're looking for a Senior Accountant with strong FP&A capabilities to join our accounting and finance team and contribute to our continued growth and success. The Senior Accountant will play a dual role, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting while also providing strategic financial analysis to support business decisions. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in accounting principles, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to analyze financial data to drive business performance. The ideal candidate will have experience in both accounting and FP&A, with a proven track record of delivering actionable insights to stakeholders.

Your mission

Accounting Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP
  • Assist with general ledger activities, including preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and supporting month-end close processes.
  • Assist with tax filings, audits, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard company assets.
  • Assist with the implementation and optimization of financial systems and tools.


FP&A Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
  • Analyze financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods, identifying trends and variances.
  • Support strategic initiatives by providing financial analysis and scenario modeling for new projects, investments, or business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor departmental budgets and forecasts.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), providing actionable insights to improve business performance.
  • Assist in the preparation of board materials and investor presentations as needed.


All About You

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Experience working at a SaaS company is preferred but not necessary.
  • 3-5+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial analysis, preferably in a corporate or high-growth environment. Public accounting experience a plus.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).

Work Location

  • HQ is in Orange, California. Hybrid work arrangement may be considered for a superb candidate

  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.


Compensation
  • $100,000 - $125,000 annual salary, based on experience and skills
