Job Description:
This position is responsible for assisting with the preparation and filing of quarterly earnings releases, as well as quarterly, annual and current reports required by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on forms 10-Q, 10-K, 11-K, and 8-K, respectively. Additionally, this position assists with technical accounting research, evaluation and implementation.
Assists with the preparation and filing of all forms required by the SEC, including 10-K, 10-Q, 11-K and 8-K
Assists with the preparation of quarterly earnings releases and the review of the accompanying investor
presentations
Prepares, reviews and organizes information supporting financial statement disclosures
Tags financial data reported on forms 10-K and 10-Q using extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL)
Prepares statement of cash flows on a monthly basis
Reconciles equity accounts on a monthly and quarterly basis
Prepares and posts journal entries to account for stock-based compensation
Assists with performing the annual test for impairment of goodwill and indefinite-lived intangible assets
Communicates with internal, external and regulatory auditors
Collaborates cross-functionally with members of Tax, Legal, Treasury, Investor Relations and Human Resources
Assists with the review of proposed commercial scenarios and unique business transactions to ensure GAAP is
applied appropriately
Assists with researching, evaluating and implementing new accounting pronouncements
Assists with the accounting for acquisitions
Assists with other financial accounting and reporting projects as they arise
EXPERIENCE:
5 years of SEC Reporting is required.
5 years of Big 4 Public Accounting is preferred.
EDUCATION:
Bachelors' Degree in Accounting is required
CPA license is required.
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent understanding of accounting and US GAAP is required.
XBRL tagging and document management knowledge is required.
Strong skills in Microsoft Office Word and Excel is required.
Ability to work under tight time schedules and handle multiple tasks is required.
Strong written and oral communication skills is required.
Ability to research emerging technical accounting issues is required.
