The Senior Accountant will be a key contributor to our success in a highly visible, in-office role as we continue to grow.

Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions, entering JEs, reconciling accounts, and financial reporting on a monthly basis. The role is part of a team helping build our accounting infrastructure from the ground up with exposure to all levels of accounting/finance. The ideal candidate will have an accounting degree, an eagerness to learn, and personal growth goals. This role requires a dynamic, agile, and hands-on professional to execute and optimize accounting processes in a fast-paced and growing environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and process all relevant journals with appropriate supporting information related to the month end close.
  • Timely processing of AP invoices, resolving vendor inquiries and year end 1099 filings.
  • Ensure all Balance Sheet accounts are reconciled and adjustments posted in a timely manner
  • Experience with sales tax computation and filing
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Support the preparation of financial analysis and management reporting, including investor reports, presentations, distribution reports, and KPIs
  • Collaborate with other functional teams to streamline processes for greater efficiency, accuracy, and consistency
  • Assist with outside consultants, including tax preparers, and auditors
  • Perform ad hoc analysis as needed
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 3-4 years of experience as a Senior accountant or similar role
  • Experience with ERP systems such as MS Dynamics, NetSuite, or other similar system
  • Knowledgeable in accounting principles (US GAAP), including consolidation reporting/elimination entries
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to identify problems and discrepancies, independently perform research and analysis of causes, and recommend corrective actions
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel (pivot tables), Word and Powerpoint
  • Mindful, accountable, ethical, responsible, respectful, and collaborative approach to work
  • Eager to learn new systems, processes, and accounting for a growth company.

NYS Pay Range

$80,000-$110,000 USD
