Lasko Products, an industry leader of home environment products for over 100 years, is seeking a Senior Accountant for our West Chester, PA headquarters. The Senior Accountant will oversee and manage the several key areas of the balance sheet and have one to two direct reports. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.

Primary Responsibilities
- Accounting and Tax:
- Laser focused diligence on the P&L close and Balance Sheet reconciliation on a monthly basis
- Key support role in the P&L close and BS Rec timing, completeness, list of challenges
- Owns several difficult balance sheet accounts where reconciliations are key:
- Gross to Net Reserve Allowances in CPG industry
- Key tester, reviewer for our for current QAD ERP upgrade
- Oversee and key driver of SALT processes including filings and managing Avalera Tax software
- Audit management:
- Must have experience and strong audit support skills - ability to gather, share, drive clean audit support for the bank and our annual audit
- Strong diligence and project management skills are key
- Staff oversight:
- Manage 1-2 direct reports - preferably experience already or ready to take it on right away
- Proactive approach to managing performance, goals, training and building relationships with the direct reports
- Balance firmness/fairness/reasonableness while developing high performance, motivated, accounting team
- Drive continuous improvement during second half of the month after close:
- Process and procedure documentation
- Continuous focus on improvement projects
- Drive deadlines and develop key tools to manage all processes
Qualifications
High level qualifications needed in addition to the topics above:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 2-4 years of experience working in public or corporate accounting, with increasing levels of responsibility
- Enjoy continuously improving process and controls, not satisfied with the status quo
- Able to handle challenges of juggling multiple projects including routine and non-routine projects
- Enjoy partnering with staff in other departments to ensure accounting is correct
- Strong communication skills to present concise summary info
- Must have a proactive and solid follow up approach
Preferred qualifications:
- CPA
- QAD ERP experience
- Avalera sales tax software experience
- Gross to Net Sales and AR accounting for CPG with various discounts, rebates and allowances
