Job Summary
- Own the month-end closing process and prepare accurate and timely reports.
- Perform detailed analysis and prepare journal entries, as necessary.
- Own the daily bank reconciliation process; work closely with AP and AR staff to resolve issues.
- Assist in managing the company credit card program; ensure compliance with company policy.
- Complete monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Identify discrepancies in underlying data through detailed analytics; investigate, and resolve.
- Develop a deep understanding of revenue recognition with a focus on service offerings within the transportation and logistics industry.
- Assist external auditor; fulfill Prepared by Client (PBC) requests.
- Work on other tasks and projects as assigned by the CFO.
Experience and Skills
About YOU!
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; transportation and logistics experience and/or public accounting experience a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Understanding of U.S. GAAP, revenue recognition principles, and internal controls.
- Intermediate or advanced Excel skills
- ERP experience a plus, Sage experience a plus.
- Local candidates only; relocation is not offered.
