Heart and Vascular Partners (HVP) is a fast-paced, growing Medical Service Organization that provides management services to heart and vascular practices in multiple states. HVP is seeking an experienced senior accountant to assist in various aspects of the day-to-day accounting function who will report to the Controller. The company is growing rapidly through internal expansion and M&A activity. This position will be instrumental in further developing the day-to-day accounting function and handling the additional volume of accounting that is required. The ideal candidate will have experience in all aspects of day-to-day accounting and month-end closings and can assist as the accounting team encounters new initiatives. Further, the ideal candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment where accounting processes and procedures for a relatively new accounting team continue to evolve as the company grows.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.

Essential Functions of the Role:
- Prepare month-end accounting entries in numerous areas
- Maintain supporting detail and perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts during the close process
- Operate within the company's Microsoft Dynamics general ledger system as well as the company's PN3 accounts payable system and ADP payroll system
- Prepare various reports and analysis at month end in order to communicate results to the operating practices
- Work closely with different operating practices and understand their unique operating characteristics
- Communicate effectively with Revenue Cycle, Accounts Payable and Payroll departments to gather and process data
- Assist in special projects and/or issues on an as-needed basis
- Assist in preparing working papers for outside auditors and tax return preparers
- Assist in the accounting for new acquisitions and finalization of purchase accounting requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy
- 5+ years of accounting experience working in a corporate environment
- Experience in working with multiple legal entities
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (preferred) or similar general ledger package
Desired Qualifications:
- Healthcare and healthcare revenue cycle experience is a plus
