Senior Accountant

Title: Senior Accountant

Reports To: VP of Finance

Location: Corona, CA

A Senior Accountant is responsible for managing complex accounting operations, financial reporting, and analysis. They ensure accuracy of financial records and compliance with regulations.

Essential Functions Include:

• Partnering with Controller to ensure an accurate and timely month-end close.
• Perform general account analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, fixed assets, accruals, labor, and prepaid expense; responsible for 1099 filings, various government agencies filing, sales tax, property tax, exercise tax, and others.
• Preparation of monthly overhead spend analysis to present to operations managers.
• Annually will assist in preparation of annual overhead budget and as well as coordinate with external accountants to complete annual financial statement audit and tax returns.
• Partner with Controller, VP of Finance, and business partners to ensure timely and accurate financial data is provided to support key business decisions as well as help drive process improvements.
• Other accounting-related tasks will be assigned as needed.

Qualifications Include:

• B.S. in Business, Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of demonstrated increasing responsibility in an accountant role.
• Strong Excel skills and data analysis abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software experience with Just Foods Microsoft Dynamics ERP a plus.
