Without the strength of our accounting team, we would not be able to offer the industry-leading service we're known for. We're seeking an experienced Accountant Professional. The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience as an Accountant.
As a strong communicator and skilled hands-on Accountant, you will create, implement and direct accounting procedures and policies in support of accurate, financial statements. Generate backlog reports detailing receivables and bill accordingly. Accounting must be able to explain the respective role within the QMS and how their role contributes to quality (Ref. Quality Procedures) The Accounting shall also be aware of ethical behavior and conduct themselves accordingly to Karman policies and procedures (Ref. Employee Handbook).

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and Realize AS 9100 procedures and continuous improvement efforts.
- Implement a system that supports the company's quality policy and commitment to continual improvement.
- Review the effectiveness of the account receivable system on a periodic basis and implement change / improvements as required.
- Provide leadership to the organization to encourage productivity, innovation, and Customer / Supplier involvement. Continually seek ways to develop employee skills and morale, while improving the overall capability of the organization.
- Promptly invoice product that has been shipped.
- Review aging and notify Customers of payments due.
- Generate shippers for deliverable product.
REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards and compliance requirements
- General math skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, including the ability to operate computerized accounting and spreadsheet programs
- Previous experience with QuickBooks
- High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality
- Excellent data entry skills
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills
- Effective organizational, stress and time management skills
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently or as a team member
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Four (4) year degree or equivalent in work experience.
- Five (5) + years experience in accounting practices.
- Five (5) + years experience in generating and maintaining monthly financial statements for review.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- This position operates in a professional office environment.
- This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimal travel may be required for this position.
