About the Role:

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting critical areas of the accounting function, with an emphasis on developing, implementing, and enforcing internal control policies and procedures. This role offers the opportunity to join a growing team of dynamic professionals and reports directly to Ample's Senior Accounting Manager.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Manage cost accounting and inventory accounting processes, ensuring accurate tracking and valuation.
  • Track the deployment and depreciation of internally produced assets.
  • Oversee accounting for leases under ASC 842, ensuring compliance and proper reporting.
  • Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations as part of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in accordance with the U.S. GAAP.
  • Manage intercompany transactions and ensure proper elimination and reconciliation.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly financial statements and internal financial reports.
  • Develop, document, and maintain accounting policies and internal controls to support business processes.
  • Collaborate with external auditors during audits and support audit readiness.
  • Drive system automations, implement change and resolve problems, as needed
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support executives and strategic decision-making.


WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
  • 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, and experience with Xero, bill.com, Microsoft Excel, and other financial tools
  • Experience in hardware and software industries
  • Impeccable analytical and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated, self-directed and excited to step outside the role and help in various ways
  • Ability to work closely with senior management
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
