Senior Acoustic Engineer

Objective of the Position: This position analyzes acoustic performance of passenger vehicle exhaust systems based on customer provided engine models through design and simulation before proceeding to prototype builds and physical testing.

Essential Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that

• Simulation for acoustics (GT-power/Wave)
• Testing for acoustics & Vibration
• Develop solution for NVH issues
• Vehicle Testing, Advance project testing
• Working with Core team on projects
• Vehicles testing using chassis dynamometer
• Implementing exhaust tuning to the product team
• Assist on data acquisition and instrumentation
• Produce reports to the Design Team of simulation data
• Mesh structural exhaust components for NVH analysis

Secondary Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that

• Conduct all business related activities for, and on the behalf of, Eberspaecher within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.
• Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.
• Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and follows all ENA polices related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirement Profile:

Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience:

• B.S./Master in Mechanical Engineer, or Automotive Engineer, or Applied Physics (focus in Acoustics)
• Experience in NVH & data acquisition minimum of 10 years.
• Experience with acoustic performance for vehicles minimum of 10 years
• Simulation background (Wave/GT) or others
• Electrical background
