Senior Acquisition Specialist

Cruz Associates Inc. (www.cruzinc.us) of Yorktown, VA has an open position and is looking for qualified candidates for a Senior Acquisition Specialist. The job location is at Joint Base Langley Eustis (JBLE), Fort Eustis, Virginia in support of the Technology Applications Program Office (TAPO).

Scope: The Senior Acquisition Specialist position requires subject matter expertise in the application of Government contracting principles, procurement strategy, and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).

Responsibilities:

• Develop, coordinate & obtain approval of complete contract requirement packages (CRPs). This includes Justification & Approvals (J&A), Acquisition Plan, Acquisition Strategy, Independent Government Cost Estimate (IGCE) and other documents.
• Develop and maintain current acquisition plans, appropriate milestone charts and manage related project schedules.
• Recommend to program officials of the procurement objectives to be used, and assist in the preparation of statements of works, determination and findings and solicitation documents.
• Develop new or innovative contracting approaches to arrive at an equitable contract arrangement.
• Provide acquisition package development and contract monitoring support for various weapon, mission equipment, and services programs.
• Assist in developing performance work statements and other contract documentation for various types of contracts and other procurement actions.
• Analyze contract performance and make recommendations for revisions as projects proceed through the acquisition life cycle.
• Review documents for compliance with regulatory requirements, and recommend disposition, including corrective action.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum/General Experience: 10 or more years of directly related experience.
• Minimum Education: B.A./B.S. degree.
• Secret security clearance required.
