Key Duties (Including but not limited to):
- Lead maintenance and enhancement of actuarial pricing models and conduct comprehensive treaty pricing analysis for both new and renewal business across a diverse, multiline proportional and excess of loss treaty reinsurance portfolio
- Prepare and present detailed quarterly and annual underwriting forecasts, providing important decision-making insights
- Maintain and strengthen the company's processes, controls, and systems to improve policy pricing and accuracy of underwriting performance forecasts
- Proactively engage with the cedent's reinsurance broker and representatives to ensure timely and accurate information exchange
Qualifications required:
- Associate or equivalent of either the Casualty Actuarial Society or the Institute of Actuaries, Fellowship preferred, and a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or a similar field
Experience required:
- Ten (10) years of (re)insurance actuarial experience gained in (re)insurer, actuarial firm, or accounting firm; focus on casualty and/or specialty lines strongly preferred
- Proven, in-depth knowledge of reinsurance structures and reinsurance pricing and reserving techniques
- Extensive experience with actuarial techniques, with a working knowledge of catastrophe modelling
