Role Accountabilities:
- Working with large volumes of information: This requires strong analytical skills and proficiency with data management tools to ensure accurate and user-friendly reporting.
- Liaison between business users and IT departments: Effective communication and problem-solving skills are crucial to bridge the gap between technical and business needs.
- Project lifecycle participation: Involvement in all phases from requirements gathering to end-user training ensures comprehensive understanding and successful implementation of financial systems.
- Understanding business processes: Deep knowledge of how business processes integrate with financial systems is essential for optimizing workflows and ensuring system efficiency.
- Problem-solving skills: Technical expertise in systems like Workday and SAP is necessary to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
- Collaboration and communication: Building strong relationships with stakeholders and IT departments is key for successful initiatives and smooth operations.
- Documentation and reporting: Attention to detail and clear documentation practices are vital for maintaining accurate records and facilitating communication.
- System integrated testing: Ensuring thorough testing of systems to validate functionality and performance is critical for reliable operations.
- Commitment: To promoting a workplace of inclusiveness and belonging.
Role Requirements:
- A Post-Secondary education in Finance or related field is required; experience working in a fast-paced environment, particularly corporate and/or retail will be considered an asset
- Minimum of 3-5 years' finance experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to bring together and manage interactions with employees from across the organization
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage demanding situations with tact
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize numerous tasks with conflicting deadlines
- Results Oriented - able to consistently deliver on time and accurate results
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of tools preferably Excel, Access, Power BI
- Familiarity with SAP and Workday is an asset
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
