What will your typical day look like?

Our clients range from small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to large Canadian and global companies. As a Gi grants and incentives professional at Deloitte, you will work directly with our Grants & Incentives (G&I) Senior Advisors and play a supporting role in helping companies access government funding to support their growth and innovation initiatives. You will work with a team of skilled professionals to:
Under the direction of G&I Senior Advisors, directly support the drafting of government funding applications on behalf of clients, including application forms and associated attachments, such as project budgets and business and project plans.
Conduct research on various Canadian government funding programs to understand program objectives; support the drafting of communications on program announcements to be shared with various stakeholders.
Support business development initiatives by identifying potential incentive programs that align with target client strategic priorities and for which incentive eligibility is met. Where alignment is not clear, support investigative efforts to connect with program representatives.
Execute various administrative requests for the national team, such as developing marketing materials for clients, Deloitte colleagues, etc.

Gi3: Global Investment and Innovation Incentives.
Deloitte's Gi3 team is the leading innovation incentives provider both in Canada and globally. We help companies become more competitive by advising them on financial strategies to drive innovation, scale their business, and to combat climate change. Deloitte's Gi3 team supports companies in accessing entitlement incentive programs such as SR&ED, Federal and Provincial merit-based / direct funding programs and the recently announced Clean Economy ITCs.

Enough about us, let's talk about you
Has an undergraduate degree or diploma in the humanities, social sciences, sciences or business and/or related work experience with preparing and writing grant applications, project documentation, and/or business plans;
Has superior written communication skills with creative ability to conceptualize and effectively communicate client projects, drivers, anticipated benefits, etc. in a detail-oriented manner;
Exhibits curiosity in understanding client projects and their drivers
Has strong critical analysis and problem-solving skills to conduct relevant research, analyze information from disparate sources and succinctly synthesize findings into compelling written narratives;
Embraces continuous learning and development;
Is an energetic self-starter and an independent learner while also being team oriented, with flexibility to adapt to rapidly evolving client and team needs;
Client / customer service experience in a professional environment is considered an asset;
Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset; and
Has demonstrated competencies with MS Office suite of programs, primarily Outlook, PowerPoint and Word

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $68,000 - $102,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
