About the workplace
As a Senior Analyst, HR Reporting, you will be responsible for generating and delivering accurate and insightful HR reports to support data-driven decision-making for People & Culture. This role involves coordinating and responding to ad-hoc reporting requests, creating and maintaining standard and custom reports, and developing dashboards using tools like UKG Pro People Analytics, Power BI, and Excel. The Senior Analyst partners with stakeholders to understand talent metrics needs, ensuring reports are clear, accessible, and aligned with business objectives. Additionally, they oversee the HR BI reporting environment, maintain user security roles, support data governance, and contribute to continuous improvement in reporting processes to enhance operational efficiency and data quality.
This is a permanent, full-time role that will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office. This role may require you to work in-office at least once a week.

The salary range for this role is $71,500 to $107,300 annually. Base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.

A typical day would involve:
- Generate HR reports to effectively capture data needed for reporting including creating and running standard reports, and creating ad-hoc reports.
- Coordinate HR reporting requests from a variety of sources.
- Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests, provide support and training as required to facilitate HR operations and respond to external surveys which provide valuable and informative talent benchmarking.
- Partner with stakeholders in the organization to understand the HR talent metrics requirements and develop easy to understand reports and dashboards using a variety of tools (UKG Pro People Analytics, Power BI, Excel).
- Meet the regular monthly, quarterly, and annual HR reporting deadlines including Talent dashboards, Internal and External Audits, Annual Reporting, etc.
- Administer the HR BI Reporting environment by providing improvements and simplification to the self-serve option to users, while adhering to data governance and privacy policies.
- Maintain Security and User Roles in UKG Pro People Analytics.
- Support the HR Systems team by providing best advice regarding new updates or features in terms of data input, data quality, and database management.
- Monitor industry trends related to talent intelligence to inform the development and optimization of guidelines, principles and tools.
You have:
- Post Secondary Education/Diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in a Business or HR Analyst role with reporting experience for internal stakeholders.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in working with Power BI, Tableau, or other data analysis tools.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in working with People Analytics, Human Capital/Talent data and metrics.
- IBM Cognos BI experience
- SQL, UKG Dimensions/ Workforce Central (formerly Kronos), UKG Pro (formerly UltiPro) experience is a nice to have
