Job Summary
VivSoft is seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Administrator to serve as the primary technical support resource for one or more critical applications. This role is responsible for managing application environments to ensure secure, stable, and high-performing operations. You will work closely with server and database administrators while maintaining segregation of duties and playing a key role in the full lifecycle of application support.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead technical expert for assigned applications in both pre-production and production environments.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain application software, patches, and third-party integrations.
- Provide technical support, including troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Support infrastructure initiatives such as data center migrations and network/firewall configurations.
- Experience triaging ServiceNow (SNOW) tickets and incident management.
- Manage and support application interfaces and APIs to ensure secure and reliable integration.
- Assist with code release and deployment processes, including automation and rollback strategies.
- Implement and maintain Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Requirements Guides (SRGs), ensuring compliance documentation is up to date.
- Research and resolve cybersecurity vulnerabilities identified through routine scanning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational transformation initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant technical experience supporting enterprise applications
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Four (4) additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
Required Skills & Certifications
- Clearance: Must possess IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive security clearance or have a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) at the time of proposal submission.
- Certifications:
- Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority
- DoD Approved 8570/8140 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator
Skills & Knowledge
- Experience with application security, vulnerability remediation, and STIG/SRG compliance.
- Familiarity with network configurations, APIs, and data integration processes.
- Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
