Position Overview:
Reporting to the Application Lead the Senior Application Analyst plays a key role in business processes and application design. This role will align strategic goals and objectives with decisions regarding products and services; partners and suppliers, organization, capabilities, and key business and IT initiatives. The primary focus for this person's work includes the analysis of business motivations and business operations. Will recommend solutions to Global business leaders based on interpreted findings of the analyzed business processes.

For this position, the expected salary range is between $90,000 and $105,000 annually. This range reflects our commitment to providing competitive compensation that aligns with industry standards and your qualifications.

Job Description:
Major Job Functions:
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders in the delivery of technology solutions through translating complex Business requirements, including on upgrades, enhancements, testing, validation and overall performance management of the system.
- Ongoing interaction with the Global Business Team to acquire understanding and clarification of business processes and requirements.
- Participate in system implementation projects (requirements documentation, systems configuration, test documentation/execution, issue identification and resolution).
- Provide Global and strategic alignment on business and technical initiatives by conducting enterprise analysis and systems development. (Enterprise analysis initiatives may include; feasibility assessments, needs assessments, gap analyses and solution assessments).
- Provide support according to SLA's (Service Level Agreements) when analyzing software problems, data issues, workflows and recommending solutions.
- Mentor and guide Junior and Intermediate Application Analyst globally.
Accountability:
- Provide status reports and ensure escalation of issues as necessary.
- Plays a key role in supporting Digital & IT or Business teams in driving successful projects by ensuring that overall business needs are effectively met and projects are implemented on time and within budget.
- Ensure presentation of information is professional, timely and accurate.
- Responsible for compliance with activities and controls required by Finning's Change Management policies & procedures within scope.
- Provide guidance and support to Junior Application Analysts and Intermediate Application Analysts
- Ensure that imperative specification and support documentation are understood by the reviewers, approvers and users of the material.
- Ensure that risks uncovered as part of the incident and problem management processes, within scope, are communicated and mitigated in a timely manner.
- Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner and maintain effective relationships with internal departments and staff while maintaining confidentiality.
Education & Experience:
- Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in a related Information Technology (IT) discipline or related experience. Formal education in specific applications, tools and languages.
- 7+ years of experience in business analysis and application design
- Experience with the Genesys Call Management Platform.
- Experience with Agile Development Methodology
Knowledge:
- Experience as a key contributor in building and enhancing enterprise-class systems through the entire lifecycle - Analyze, Design, Build, Test, Implement and Support.
- Extensive and advanced knowledge of business analysis concepts, tools and processes, as well as IT resources and enabling technologies.
- Strong working knowledge of tools, languages and methodologies related to systems analysis and support.
- Understand the potential and limitations of information technology.
- Ability to recognize symptoms, determine causes, and identify potential solutions.
