Our office in Toronto is seeking a Senior Architect-Rail & Transit to join our Toronto team.
This is a position to work on projects in the rail (High Speed, Metro, LRT, streetcars) industry in the Toronto office at 130 Adelaide Street west.

Our office in Toronto is seeking a Senior Architect-Rail & Transit to join our Toronto team.
This is a position to work on projects in the rail (High Speed, Metro, LRT, streetcars) industry in the Toronto office at 130 Adelaide Street west.
Responsibilities:
- Assess designated projects and develop designs taking into consideration transit project features, buildings, climate, future usage and other aspects
- Develop architectural design packages, based on the applicable project specifications, codes and standards as well as managing stakeholder reviews and comment resolution.
- Participate in a multidisciplinary and collaborative design environment with the ability to resolve complex internal and external interfaces.
- Overview of BIM related issues including good working knowledge of the applicable standards and methodologies
- Review and prepare specifications for architectural sections
- professional support services during construction
- Participation in urban and landscape architecture design may be required
Qualifications:
- 10 years of overall building design experience is needed with experience in infrastructure or Rail\P3 projects
- Member (or eligible for full membership) of OAA
- Bachelor's degree
- Revit 2023 or later with knowledge of collaborative, cloud-based design environments
- Experience with Landscape Architecture an asset
- Legislation, codes and standards for building design, with special emphasis in the transit sector
- Knowledge of Sustainability design requirements and Toronto Green Standards (TGS)
- Experience with Accessibility standards
- Experience with CPTED standards
- Experience in tenders and in architectural design development (from concept design till detail design)
