Also, must be able to establish good working relationships with developers, engineers and government entities.

Position will serve as the Assist District Engineer in the Division 4, District 2 office located in Nash County.
- In this position you will be responsible for the oversight of complex developments, encroachments, driveway permits, subdivisions, and construction projects.
- In this position you will act as the lead for Department by coordinating the reviews and is the point person for developers, engineers and government entities to contact for information. Will consult with the Resident Engineer's concerning maintenance issues that arise during the construction of TIP projects and will attend all final inspections for TIP and certain purchase order projects in Nash County.
- You will assist the District Engineer in administering other programs such as: Secondary Construction, Outdoor Advertising, Over Dimension Permits and Adopt-A-Highway.
- In this position you will serve as the Supervisor in the absence of the District Engineer. Will attend all municipal, monthly CDOT Coordination meetings and attend numerous meetings with developers, engineers and government agencies on high profile developments throughout the county. Will represent the Department on technical issues and advise the parties involved on the policies and specifications. Also provides engineering support for Field Services Engineers.
