Market research (MR) plays a vital role in the commercialization of Lilly brands. Market research is imbedded within marketing and medical functions. The work is rich and complex, including ecosystem analysis, insights discovery, branding & strategy development, customer communications, and scenario planning. The role includes secondary analysis, qualitative and quantitative research approaches among customer groups such as Consumers, Healthcare Professionals, and Payers to distill actionable insights and inform compelling recommendations.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$69,000 - $101,200
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance). Key Objectives/Deliverables:
- Be the objective voice of the customer and influence marketing strategy and key business decisions. Communicate this voice effectively in various situations
- Analyze and interpret quantitative data to understand brand performance, brand health and competitive market dynamics. Leverage quantitative data and a variety of sources to develop well-reasoned conclusions and enable the delivery of customer-centric solutions.
- Design approaches and data collection based on in-depth understanding of market, customer and therapeutic area. Accountable for research agency oversight and their involvement in data collection and analytical planning
- Develop and evaluate questionnaires, discussion guides, observation guides, and listening tools.
- Guide analytical approach used by agencies to identify critical findings and insights
- Synthesize learning across studies, geographies, and key players to develop deeper insight into the market & customer, leveraging storytelling to drive strategic thinking, solution development, and insights-based decisions.
- Support business partners through complex business issues; Influence others to adopt a new point of view on difficult concepts
- Build relationships within direct Market Research team and broader Lilly Market Research community, with business partners, research agencies, and academic and professional societies
- Contribute to team morale and support cross-team initiatives and ad hoc project requests
- Participate in LMR (Lilly Market Research) wide initiatives
Basic Qualifications Requirements:
- Master's in Market Research, MBA, or 2+ years of experience in solving complex business problems and/or guiding/executing market research studies
- Expected graduation by May 2025
- Effective, clear written and oral communication skills; Language fluency in English (both written and verbal)
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams
- Demonstrated aptitude of quantitative data analysis, interpretation, and data visualization
- Candidate must be flexible to travel as needed for projects which could be domestic or international (0-10%)
