We are seeking a Senior Associate, Institutional Sales and Service, based in our Vancouver or Toronto office, who will play a key role supporting the sales team headed by the VP of Institutional Sales and Service. The successful candidate will have experience working with institutions and have an entrepreneurial drive to develop and strengthen relationships with a diverse clientele of sophisticated investors and prospects, including Family Offices, Foundations, Endowments and Pensions and Consultants. This is an excellent opportunity for someone that enjoys working collaboratively and is looking to deepen their expertise in institutional sales and service.

We are sharing that the estimated salary range for this position is $90,000-$110,000 per year. In determining final salary, Pender considers many factors including the candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, job responsibilities, market conditions, position location and internal equity. Our aim is to ensure fair compensation practices that align with industry standards while acknowledging the unique value and expertise each individual brings to the role. The final base salary for the offer will be presented as part of a competitive compensation package.

Main Responsibilities include:
- Client & Consultant Relationship Support - Serve as a key support contact for institutional clients and investment consultants, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and requests.
- RFP, DDQ & Due Diligence Oversight -Lead RFP, DDQ, and other due diligence processes ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with client needs.
- Sales & Marketing Material Customization - Work with the sales and marketing teams to refine and tailor pitchbooks, investment proposals, and other collateral for institutional prospects.
- Pipeline & CRM Management - Maintain accurate records of prospects and client interactions, sales pipeline updates, and engagement metrics within the CRM system.
- Meeting Preparation & Execution - Support senior sales team members in preparing for client and consultant meetings, drafting briefing materials, and ensuring follow-up actions are completed.
- Event & Conference Representation - Attend industry conferences, client meetings, and networking events to enhance the firm's presence and maintain relationships with institutional investors.
- Internal Coordination with Investment & Product Teams - Collaborate with portfolio managers, product specialists, and marketing teams to ensure accurate and effective communication of investment strategies.
- Market & Competitive Analysis - Track industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to provide insights that support business development efforts.
- Client Reporting & Investment Updates - Assist in the preparation and delivery of client reports, investment performance updates, and other client communication materials.
- Process Improvement & Best Practices - Identify opportunities to enhance workflows, improve efficiencies in client servicing, and support institutional sales initiatives through innovation and best practices.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 4 to 6 years experience in institutional client support
- A post secondary education
- CFA, CIM or working toward designation preferred
- Familiarity with consultant databases is an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Superior client service skills.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and to be a great team player
