Department Overview

The Investor Communications Group supports the Firm's capital raising efforts across various products, strengthening its relationship with investors and contributing to the overall growth of the Firm. The group is responsible for investor services and acts as the liaison between clients and senior management. The department is also responsible for investor onboarding and is the primary point of contact for investor reporting and ongoing account maintenance. The group collaborates closely with department leadership, business unit heads and the Business Development and Marketing Groups to develop and execute plans in line with business objectives.

Position Responsibilities

The Senior Associate, Team Lead will join the Firm's growing Data Management Team within the Investor Communications Department which serves as a key point of contact to the Firm's investor base. This role requires a motivated and proactive individual with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage tight deadlines.

Responsibilities included, but are not limited to:
  • Overseeing and executing the Data Management Team specific Service Level Agreements ("SLAs")
  • Overseeing the onboarding and maintenance of investor accounts, including the collection and analysis of banking and investor contact information
  • Providing guidance, development and training to other members of the team and acting as the first point of escalation
  • Driving process improvement and automation with respect to how data is managed in the CRM database
  • Overseeing and driving urgency to aid critical Investor Communications projects
  • Managing the internal review of onboarding documentation for new and existing funds
  • Reviewing information entered into the CRM databases by junior team members
  • Corresponding with other back-office teams on day-to-day and ad-hoc activity
  • Monitoring team metrics, capacity and shifting priorities as needed
  • Providing oversight on team deliverables and ensuring timely execution
  • Motivating the team during periods of high volumes and maintaining a positive culture
  • Taking the lead on calls with internal and external legal partners
  • Ensuring quality control of the team's procedures


Candidate Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Experience working in the financial services industry in a client-facing role
  • Experience with cash movement or reconciliations
  • Experience at a custodian in the alternative space or in wealth management support is a strong plus
  • People leadership experience with ability to motivate team members, especially during periods of high volume work / requests
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Experience managing direct reports is required
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external groups
  • Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in MS Office products, specifically Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is a strong plus

Compensation & Benefits
For Illinois Only: It is expected that the base salary range for this position will be $90,000 to $140,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as skills, experiences and qualifications for the role. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as vacation, sick time and parental leave) dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, the employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the Firm reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time including for reasons related to individual performance, Firm or individual department / team performance and market factors.
