The Houston-Galveston Area Council is one of the largest regional planning commissions in the country with a diverse service area of 13 counties and more than7million people. We are the pulse of our region addressing issues that cross city limits and county lines every single day.

What will I bedoing?
Plan and perform internal audits, reviews, and special projects that enhance operations, safeguards assets, improve management controls, and promote efficiency in organizational units as well as compliance with state and federal requirements
Work in sub-recipient monitoring of H-GAC contractors including site visits, pre-award reviews, and desk reviews of audited annual financial reporting packages
Prepare formal reports at the completion of most projects and/or audits
KeyQualifications
Computer skills and software experience in Word, and Excel; ability to plan and execute audit procedures including formal reporting of findings and recommendations
Knowledge of Federal Uniform Grant Guidance and Regulations
Professional Auditing Standards Professional Certification (CPA, CIA, or CISA)
Do you have...
Bachelor's degree in an applicable academic discipline orrelatedfield of study
5years of experienceworking with local government, nonprofit programs, school or in job related duties
