Contract or Role Summary:

• Seeking an Automation Tester with experience building test automation solutions & frameworks and performs testing using automation across the test delivery. Seeking someone with deep skills in programming, automation tools, and core testing along with good depth in business domain/processes.

Responsibilities:

• Automate testing across the application SOA architecture at UI, API, Services, Microservices, Performance, Data, Integration and layers across technologies, cloud based application - Web / Desktop, PaaS, Devices, Browsers, Client server.
• Designs and develop automation solution and frameworks that can be used by functional testers to perform automated testing.
• Understand functional requirements, design optimized test scenarios, Test modelling concepts, identify the test cases and code these to be integrated with application code and CICD, DevOps pipeline for continuous test case creation, automated test execution for functional, performance, integration test and reporting.
• Direct and work along with team to build optimized test scenarios, develop models and BDD/TDD framework for developing test cases, develop automation, execute test cases, resolve technical issues, manage defect cycle, mentor and enable skills of the team and to provide technical direction to the team.
• Deep skills in core automated testing, technical testing, business domain, testing method/tools in Agile methodologies and CICD delivery.
• Take initiative in writing unit tests and actively contribute to enhancing the existing testing frameworks and methodologies.
• Execute regression test scripts within a QA environment in a manual and automatic fashion to support scheduled and unscheduled releases.
• Perform analysis of, document, report, escalate, triage, and resolve issues / defects / bugs found during testing.
• Cyber security concepts and testing a plus (SSL, TLS, digital certificates) for vulnerability and enhancement testing.
• Create and enhance test cases, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
• Collaborate with developers, business analyst, and quality assurance teams to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Promote best practices for test automation, including maintainable code, reusable components, and efficient test data management.
• Execute automated tests as part of the continuous integration and delivery pipeline.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must be either US citizens or permanent residents of the United States. We cannot accept H1 Visa holders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years experience in automated testing for SOA cloud-based application for functional integration, Web Services, Micros Services, Web API, Regression, Performance, and volume testing
• Minimum of 6 years of experience or expertise using, managing, and/or testing API Gateway tools and Rest APIs
• Minimum of 6 years of experience with test automation frameworks and tools e.g., Junit, TestNG, Selenium, SOAP UI, ReadyAPI, Parasoft SOAtest w/Loadtest, LOADRUNNER, GitHub, Eggplant, Subject7, JIRA, JMETER, IBM Rational tools, RFT, EWM, ELM, ETM.
• Experience in installing, configuring, troubleshooting testing software, licensing, security certificates and applying changes to build test architecture for integration regression and performance testing.
• Experience in writing test steps/cases/data from team discussions and use cases
• Proven Experience with developing automated testing and configuring testing tools and test execution
• Experience working in cloud environment and Maestro suite (JIRA and Confluence)
• Experience in testing technologies such as REST APIs and Apache Kafka
• Experienced working in Agile teamwork, CI-CD (continuous integration-continuous development) delivery
